Know Before You GO!

SECURITY MEASURES

Highlights:

  • A professional security team is working alongside our volunteers

  • Bag checks will be performed at the gate before admission

  • Water bottles will be subject to search and will be dumped if alcohol is deemed present. (We will have water as per usual for extra hydration)

  • You may be refused entry if intoxicated and asked to leave as well

  • No re-entry allowed so be sure you bring in all items you will need for the evening and take everything with you when you leave. Once you exit the venue, re-entry is not permitted for the rest of the night.

  • You can bring blankets and lawn chairs

  • Lines will take longer than past years with our new security and bag checks

  • We will have an accessible line-up for those with mobility as well as other accessibility needs

  • Just like last year we will be wrist banding all attendees

  • Please do not sneak in!!

The Hornby Festival has always been about community, music, and creating a welcoming place where Islanders and visitors can come together. We're making a few simple changes this year to help keep the experience safe, comfortable and enjoyable for everyone as well as meeting some regulatory requirement allowing the Hornby Festival to continue. Please be patient at the front gates this year.

This year, you'll see a professional security team working alongside our
incredible volunteers. They'll be welcoming guests at the gate with quick bag checks and will continue to be present throughout each evening—making regular rounds through the festival grounds, parking lot, and other access points, checking wristbands, helping ensure a respectful and community- minded atmosphere, and providing assistance whenever needed.

These measures are simply part of our commitment to creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming Festival while respecting the generosity, privacy, and beauty of our host property—a very special working farm that has so generously welcomed our community for many years.

One thing we'd especially like to ask of our community and visitors: please don't sneak in. It might seem harmless, but every unpaid admission takes money and resources away from the Festival, artists, cultural program, staff, and puts the future of this community tradition of 44 years at risk.

Thank you for helping us look after one another and this special community tradition. Together, we're helping ensure the Hornby Festival remains a joyful, respectful, and welcoming gathering for Islanders and visitors for many years to come.

We can't wait to celebrate with you!
