“It's been an honour & joy to photograph the Hornby Festival over the years. It's offered me an intimate connection with all-things-Festival... the performers, the staff, the behind-the-scenes, the wonder & magic of the folks who come to celebrate all the Festival offers, the beauty of the farm & all it's held over the years, the richness of our Community Hall, the spirit of this beautiful island I'm so grateful to call home. 

It's a gift to be offered the opportunity to take in Hornby & the Festival through the eyes & experience of visitors & other locals. There's something about witnessing home through other perspectives that adds a richness to my own appreciation for life on this rock in the Salish Sea. I'm honoured the festival is wrapping their offerings in the wisdom teachings of this land's First Peoples. It feels utterly important to recognize, out loud & often, that we are living & working on unceded territory, & all that means, historically & presently. I look forward to being back again this summer, with camera in hand, capturing moments that hold all the magic the Hornby Festival has to offer.”
