The Hornby Festival is hiring an Operations Assistant to join our team for the 2022 season

This position will start with part-time hours and transition to full-time in the summer months.

We are seeking a young adult (up to 30 years of age) for this position, as we will be accessing youth employment funding from the federal government. We will provide training.

We are hoping to hire someone who is interested in year-round employment in the role of General Manager beginning in September 2022.

The Hornby Festival Society is seeking a new General Manager

 

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager works with the Artistic Director and acts as team leader for all admin support staff, responsible for planning many aspects of the annual 10-day mid-summer festival throughout the year, as well as overseeing the box office and events during the Festival itself. Attributes that we are seeking include: flexibility, dedication, attention to detail, problem solving, and a “can do” attitude. An interest in the arts is a plus.

 

The successful applicant will work as an internship this summer, assisting the current General Manager before assuming the position in September. 

 

What does a full year looks like: part-time for most of the year, two months of busy, and “crazy busy” during the festival itself. Salary and benefits to be determined based on qualification and experience.
