About the event

For Ndidi O ticket holders only.

The Hornby Festival is thrilled to host the Hive on Wheels as part of our festival programming. The Hive on Wheels is a mobile screen printing shop run by Nadine Bariteau and the Campbell River Art Gallery. The Hive on Wheels is being taken to the road to tour Vancouver Island for the very first time and offer the live experience of printing Indigenous designs on t-shirts. The Indigenous artists who create these designs are part of the Hive on Wheels community. One or two of the Indigenous artists will be on the team coming to Hornby as part of the silk screening project to share their unique and culturally connected artwork inspired by their heritage and community.

Meet the team and have your very own t-shirt silk screened on the spot. The process takes about 10 minutes and is interesting to watch. The Hive on Wheels will have coloured shirts for sale with the image of your choice, or bring your own t-shirts, choose an image, and watch it get printed on your shirt.

$30 (taxes included) for our t-shirts.

$10 (taxes included) for bringing your own shirts.
